Our holiday house is nestled in a rocky hillside above a fertile green valley of olive and almond groves.
Steep cobbled streets cut between whitewashed cottages whilst on the edge of the village sheep and goats graze peacefully.

‘Las Mariposas’ is a traditional two story white washed house with beamed ceilings and terracotta tiled floors situated in the village of Montejaque, a short drive from the historic town of Ronda .The house lies down a quiet lane near the village centre yet with outstanding views over almond groves and mountains.
Tastefully designed and refurbished to a high standard by local craftsmen. Guests will have free access to a swimming pool nearby.

Accommodation
Three double bedrooms and two bathrooms. The en-suite for the master bedroom
has a shower, bidet, toilet and washbasin and, in addition, its own terrace
with spectacular views down the valley. A door and stairs lead down to the
dining room and kitchen. The two remaining bedrooms each have twin beds with
chests of drawers and built in wardrobes with the second bathroom alongside.
Kitchen
The spacious kitchen is equipped with an electric hob and oven with fridge
and washing machine. It is almost a pleasure washing up with the panoramic
views over the garden wall .A door leads directly onto the terrace area and
herb garden
Dining room
Through an arch from the kitchen, the dining area has a rustic pine table
comfortably seating six people.
Living room
The living room is large and has two settees set around a log burning stove
with an overhead fan and television/DVD player set in one corner. French doors
lead on to the patio area and walled garden. There is an information pack
with maps in the house for your use.
Outside
Unusually for such a village house, there is walled garden containing lemon,
apricot and bay trees along with a selection of fragrant herbs.

Montejaque is very conveniently situated for the three airports of Malaga, Jerez and Seville…all about one and a half hours drive away…and there are several scheduled and charter flights from most UK airports.
We have always favoured Jerez airport being compact and free of the queues associated with larger places.
A perfect centre for a quiet family holiday or for those seeking an activity based location. For its size the village is extremely well serviced, having two well stocked grocery stores, two banks as well as fish and bread shops.
